I have been teaching High School Art since 2013. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach a variety of art courses each year ranging from Drawing, Painting, Photography, Studio Art and Ceramics. In addition to teaching, I coach high school girl’s soccer and advise students in a number of art competitions and exhibitions.
I grew up in Blaine, MN and graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 2004. Shortly after high school I began working as an Optometric Technician and continued the position until 2016 while furthering my education. I completed my Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts in 2009 at Anoka Ramsey Community College, played women’s soccer during the college’s inaugural season, and coached high school girl’s soccer within the community. Soon after, I moved to my neighboring state to attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. As I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education, I taught English as a Second Language in two different summer learning programs, in Japan (2011) and Italy (2012). Currently, I am in graduate school, working towards earning my Masters of Science in Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Presently, I live in Andover, MN with my husband of 5 years, 2 outdoor cats, and plenty of wildlife that visit our yard on a day to day basis. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends nearby, traveling and seeking outdoor adventures. In my down time, I try to catch up on various TV shows and create original colored pencil or ink drawings. |
